Bio

Raney Branch is an Atlanta native and graduate of Emory University – where she majored in environmental studies, minored in Arabic and performed musical theater for creating social change. After teaching middle school science in the Bronx, Raney decided to pursue her dreams of acting. She has guest starred on shows including Bones, The Originals, New Girl, and Grey’s Anatomy. In 2016, Raney landed her first starring role in the TV One movie Ringside. In 2017 Raney guest-starred in an 8-episode arc on Being Mary Jane. She went on to star in Lifetime TV’s modern adaptation of her favorite book – Pride & Prejudice: Atlanta. In 2019, she was nominated for a Youtube Streamy Award for best performer in the award-winning web series Black Girls Guide to Fertility. Raney next stars in the TV One romantic dramedy Don’t Waste Your Pretty based on the book by author and media personality Demetria L. Lucas.
